Jupiter Realty Company was formed by John J. Hoecker in January of 2002. Forming his own Company was the natural culmination of over twenty (20) years in the commercial real estate industry. After graduating from Arizona State University, with a business degree emphasizing Real Estate, John started his commercial real estate career in Chicago, Illinois with Draper & Kramer, a nationally recognized full service real estate firm, founded in 1893. John started out managing and leasing office buildings and shopping centers in the Chicago area and subsequently moved to Florida with the company in 1982 to develop, manage and lease shopping centers in Palm Beach County.

In addition to management and leasing, John was very active in brokerage, as well, selling in excess of $100,000,000 worth of property during his time spent as a Broker, while overseeing the management and leasing of a 1,000,000+/- square foot retail portfolio. John ultimately rose to President of Draper & Kramer of Florida and worked with the company for approximately eighteen (18) years. In 1998, John formed the Gulfstream Realty Corporation with two out-of-state property investors to oversee the asset management responsibilities for the retail portfolio owned by the Investor/Partners. John left Gulfstream to form Jupiter Realty Company in 2002 to devote his efforts full time towards investing in properties for his own account.

In addition to the hands-on experience obtained in twenty years of actually managing, leasing, developing and selling commercial property, John also continued with his formal real estate education and has earned some of the most coveted designations in the commercial real estate field. John is a CCIM, a CPM and a CSM. CCIMs (Certified Commercial Investment Member) are recognized as experts in commercial investment real estate and live up to their distinguished reputation as model business partners for commercial real estate users, owners, and investors. Only 6 percent of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide hold the CCIM designation. This statistic reflects the caliber of the program and why it is the most coveted and respected designation in commercial investment real estate. CPM (Certified Property Manager) is the designation awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management to the top professionals in the real estate management industry. The CSM (Certified Shopping Center Manager) is the designation awarded by the International Council of Shopping Centers to those able to demonstrate a proficiency in the management of properties in the shopping center industry. The combination of years of hands on experience, coupled with an extensive formal education in Real Estate, allows John to see and capitalize on opportunities that may elude others with less training and/or experience.

Today, Jupiter Realty is an active investor/developer of commercial real estate in South Florida for its own account, primarily in Palm Beach County.
